Course Outline:

 

Be committed to ADPIE and apply it to your instrumentation. Assess where you need to expand your knowledge of instrument options by reviewing the purpose and expected outcomes for sickles, universals and area specific curettes and specialty instruments. In the planning phase, we will strategize how to plan and address our client-specific needs utilizing selected hand-activated instruments best suited for each of the Classifications of Periodontal and Peri-implant Diseases and Conditions. Implementing your enhanced awareness, confidence, and effectiveness will elevate the treatment you provide clients.

Learning Objectives:

 

  1. An increased ability to demonstrate correct clinician and client position to achieve neutral positioning and good visibility.
  2. An increased understanding of the value of good ergonomics in the dental environment.
  3. An increased knowledge and understanding regarding the stabilization required to prevent operator injury as well as client injury in the application of intra-oral and extra-oral fulcrums.
  4. The ability to analyze and evaluate knowledge and skill to new and already familiar hand activated instruments.
  5. Examine instrument selection by Classifications of Periodontal and Peri-implant Disease and Conditions

 

Hands-On Description:

 

Fundamental skill building by instrument classification with more than 20 instruments to enjoy.

Come participate in live, hands-on coaching. Resolve your practice problem areas: effective debridement, fulcruming, efficiency! Learn how instrument choice can make all the difference.

Results of this course will be an increase in self-confidence in the learner's ability to use hand instruments!
