Participants will gain a deep understanding of how the dental hygiene profession contributes to the well-being of both mothers and infants.

  • Describe the impact of pregnancy on oral health and how to educate expectant mothers.
  • Identify challenges with infant feeding and how to screen and refer patients these issues.
  • Correlate the connections between feeding issues and oral habits with poor oral growth and development
