Course Description:

 

Are you an RDH who has completed an Introduction to Myofunctional Therapy program but still struggles to connect it to the Dental Hygiene Process of Care? Many Myo programs aren’t tailored specifically for dental hygienists—like rdhu’s program is. This is where we can help you!

 

Do you find yourself unsure about creating a Dental Hygiene Diagnosis for your myo clients? Are your treatment plans tailored to each client’s specific needs, or are they following the same weekly program?
 

This virtual workshop is designed specifically for RDHs who are ready to integrate Myofunctional Therapy into their practice but need more clarity and confidence. We will walk you through the phases of Assessment, Dental Hygiene Diagnosis, client-specific Treatment Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation, while providing a deeper understanding of how to effectively apply these steps into daily practice.

 

Select participant cases will be presented, offering an opportunity for collaboration and case review among peers.

 

This is a live, online interactive experience with limited virtual seats available.

 

 

Learning Objectives:

 

  1. Understand tips for completing an assessment of Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMD).
  2. Learn to develop a Dental Hygiene Diagnosis specific to OMD.
  3. Create client-specific treatment plans for myo therapy.
  4. Evaluate progress through effective treatment interventions.
  5. Learn to incorporate a Myofunctional Program into general practice, orthodontic practice, or independent dental hygiene practice.
